ESSEX, Frederick Arthur (Chopper). Reg. No. 22262984, Staff Sergeant, 22 SAS Regt, Lancashire Fusiliers.

On January 2, 2010, peacefully, surrounded by family at Christchurch hospital, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Pat, loved father of Karen, and John, and father-in-law of Beth, and Michael, and much loved grandad of Teri, Millie, Caleb, Abbey, and Hannah.

A service of celebration for Fred's life was held in the Harewood Crematorium Chapel, 507 Johns Road, on Thursday, January 7.
