JAMES, Brian Walter, (Jumbo) Detective Superintendent Christchurch Police - Retired. Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his daughter’s residence in Auckland on April 21, 2012, in his 82nd year.

Dearly loved husband of Cherrie, treasured father and father-in-law of Carolyn & Doug Black (Hamilton), Diane James & Mike Anderson (Auckland), Chris & Nik Christidis (Christchurch), loved Poppa of Kirsty, Cameron, Jennifer Black; James, Liam, Charlotte, Jack, Sophie Anderson; Marika & Nick Clark, & Nik Christidis, & a cherished Old Poppa of Jack, and Levi Clark. Loved brother-in-law of Betty & Norbert Liebmann & family.
